In its history, Nancy Drew has been portrayed by Bonita Granville, Tracy Ryan (1995 series), Pamela Sue Martin (Nancy Drew- Hardy Boys Mysteries) Maggie Lawson (Nancy Drew TV movie) and Emma Roberts (2007). I still prefer the books over any movie/TV show about our sleuth!
In response to Terence Ritche of a year ago – (not that anyone ever looks back) – no, they certainly are not garland and rooney. Nor were they expected to be or wanted to be. They are Granville and Thomas and they're a cue couple and she's a good little actress: Children's Hour (These Three), Now, Voyager, Escape.
For a kid's movie – this is actually Very well done. I was trying to find some foul ups – but I really didn't see any. IMDb dot com hardly mentions Soxie Anthens – which I think should have been considered as a leading performer in this – especially since he had a very long career in acting. Bonita Granville died early of cancer, but not before producing the "Lassie" series in the 50s and her Millionaire husband, Jack Wrather brought us "The Lone Ranger" series. Together they brought great things to the people of California – as well as trustees of John F. Kennedy Center, as well as other well known organizations and charities.
Don't forget, Bonita Grandville is also the producer of Lassie
My favorite Nancy Drew movie. Love Bonita Granville; but I don't think that was her singing voice. Mary Lee was fabulous. These movies were "laugh-out-loud" funny.
How I remember reading all her adventures in my teens, watched the tv series but it was during pamela sue martin era.. love Hardy boys too. Made believe I was part of the adventure…
Cant forget The Famous Five by enid blyton too.. our childhood were filled with our own wildest imiginations… how today's youngsters certainly miss those part of life
awesome
Bonita Granville (February 2, 1923 – October 11, 1988) was an American film actress and television producer. She died on October 11, 1988 of lung cancer in Santa Monica, California, at the age of 65. She was buried at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Culver City, California.
Bonita Granville had a small but amusing role in Now Voyager as Bette Davis' niece.
The little boy is Dickie Jones, he was the voice of Disney's PINOCCHIO.
Yo wtf Ted's an asshole
Wouldn't the boxer recognize Nancy when she rushed into the ring? >_>
ned nickeresen right who the heck is ted nickersen
Frankie Thomas was my husband's cousin – sweet, wonderful man – a true gentleman. I enjoy these movies because of him
The original 1930's novels are so much better than the 1960's rewrites.
I love her so much in the ho much in the world!!!!!!! ;*
That was really great!
Thank you so much for this. I have the set of dvd's. Now I can forward your YouTube Chanel to share them and other great classics. Thank you again!!:-D
Fun movie. Nice boobs.
They're fun films! Although, I always wonder why they wrote Nancy to be so high strung. She's quite the opposite in the books. And the Ted for Ned thing is just silly!
Nice and clean thanks
At 1:50, the girl in the middle with the big black hat is Joan Leslie.
