Directed by: Walter Matthau
Gangster and cop killer Jack Martin is on the run from the law, and hides out in a small town. Low on funds, he engineers a clever bank robbery that yields him a big bundle. Now he has not only the cops and the FBI after him, but also the local crime boss, who’s outraged that an outsider can pull off a heist like that in his territory and not cut him in on it.

I thought this was better than Goodfellas, Casino & Godfathers I,II & III all put together .
Vic Tayback was the cop at the country club.
Charley Varrick some 20 years or thereabout younger; destiny is full circle.
This film is to illustrate the paradox: there are always more imbeciles than one thinks.
Nothing I love more than a pretty woman with a good book…
This movie was Directed by: Walter Matthau
My opinion this is a B rated movie
Anyway thanks for the upload Eric
I'm sorry I won't watch the rest of this B rated movie,

I have seen 300+ film noir. This one was a stinker. Direction, acting, all of it was bad. D+
who wrote this ? a 6 year old.
Moral of this story… never get mixed up with a blond librarian with a fruit grove who can't make a pizza.
and get killed four bad acting
When he removed the handcuffs his facial expressions reminded me of my dentist when he pulls a tooth.
The librarian was also his wife in real life.
Boss… WAIT A MINUTE BOSS !! WAIT A MiNUTE… BOOM !!!! BOOM !!!
I like walter matthew – this is so bad it's brilliant.
"I'm a bank robber" and she looks at him demurely and asks "what else". Matthau had a hand in the script for sure..hilarious.
This movie wasn't Walter Matheus greatest – and to think that he ended up being a well known actor! This was the first time I have ever seen him in a romantic situation. Obviously he had to start at the bottom somewhere. Thx for sharing this rare film! If the librarian was his wife in real life ~ that's pretty cool too
what a banal movie
You could see it in this grade B, Walter had talent.
Great movie, great acting. Walter, "a diamond in the rough"
I would call this pathetic, but I don;t want to be so kind.
Dead, ham delivery of lines from all except Mattau.
Subtext to film is that we have postal stamp dispensers and the Soviets do not.
Bear in mind, little no-budget B movies like this were often shot in 5 or 6 days.
This movie is STUPID! 😂 Never knew Mr. Matthau could do drama! So far, so good!
This certainly isn't a true story! Can't be!
Wow! This piece of shit was directed by Walter Matthau? It has all the trappings and acting performances of a 8mm porn reel.
Richard Burton and Paul Newman made films with their wives but I didn't know Walter Mathau had. Mrs Mathau was not a raving beauty or much of an actress but strangely attractive… in a bibliophilic sort of way.
