Sadly S Tolers last movie. He could hardly walk due to cancer. He was the best
Burmingham asks like an idiot in almost every episode..Bad stereotype. Also Jimmy is an inabler and also acts the same.. Only problem is also that a couple of the women are also idiots (acting like screaming ban chi's) .Plot is good but the people who act such detract,,
Yes, I liked him too.
While Moreland appears to be "the stereotype" in these films, you can see that his acting was quite deliberate. Back then, it was funny. To critique the many stereotypes in these films is folly, as they are many, and same, deliberate. Follow the plot, understand the characters as presented, and you might see a simple murder mystery, filmed almost as a "noir" parody, which was the intent…I love these movies…and assign same with no giant sociological impact…
Great ending. Burningham showed the fasted way to clear a room full of girls. Ha-ha
Both Warner Oland and Sidney Toler were great in the role of Charlie. As someone pointed out, Sidney Toler barely survived the making of this movie due to a terminal illness that claimed his soon after. Political correctness would never allow great little films like the Chan amd Moto series to be made today.
