Basil Radford in an early role. He teamed up with Naunton Wayne in several films where they portrayed cricket obsessed Englishmen and provided comic relief. See Hitchcock's "The Lady Vanishes" where the duo first played together. Radford's scar was the result of his time in the trenches during WWI.
