IF COMEDY IS A ART FORM THAN MR FIELDS IS THE KING OF COMEDY
Harry, in one of your last comments you say, "there are no obscenities" Well, I guess you missed W.C. saying the "F" word to the pie stuck on his golf club at 1:OO:01. Oh, for shame!!
I'm 32, but I appreciate these true comedians. So much better than the dreck they have nowadays.
w.c field like laurel and hardy, but much better,a real master !
why is the audio so good, today audio is shit !
Great Film! ♡
this was a play originally you can see this with the scene of the family with camera panning back
Flash Gordon!
I had never seen this film before and thoroughly enjoyed the blend of comedy and drama. It certainly is a good example of Fields' acting ability and his comic timing.
I hope they release "Tillie & Gus" (1933) soon!! His pairing with Alison Skipworth is absolutely priceless!!
thanks mr steiman, for the upload !
everything looked better in the 1930's wonder what happend to all the old cameras ? i don't think digital is an improvement i think wev'e been had..
WC FANS I NEED YOUR HELP:
I can't remember the name of one of his films I saw years ago as a kid. There's a scene where WC gets into a spat with a woman sitting on the couch with I think was a kid. He starts walking out the door and gets hit in the head with something but he keeps walking out the door. Then the door opens back up and he's holding a concrete statue as if to hit them both with it and the woman screams in horror.
It was so damn funny the way he set it up. I know it doesn't sound like it reading it here but I wish i could see it again. Thanks for your help.
Seeing those old cars, trucks and motorcycles in new or almost new condition makes me want too time travel. How about you MR LENO??
This is, of course, a remake of his 1926 silent picture "So's Your Old Man" — in that version, Bisbee had invented a shatter-proof windshield.
Adrienne Ames had some ripe little knockers going on here. She was 27 in this picture. Thirteen years later, she passed away. Only forty years old. Cancer of the hip. Sad stuff.
The suicide conversation was pretty touching. I think I saw the human side of W.C. Fields.
Great film thanks for sharing this wonderful classic 🙂
LOVE W.C.FIELDS AND MARX BROS., JOE E. BROWN. WOULD LOVE TO SEE MORE FULL LENGTH MOVIES IF YOU COULD DO THAT?! THANKS HARRY KEEP ON KEEPIN ON MY MAN!
we fields is a great comic with his own timing of course he had to start somewhere he just didn't start on top. no one does he's a funny dude he was ahead of his time his films hold up well. I believe he does tinker as a inventer he's just that type. as the movie goes it's a classic comedy that does get better an has its quick moments. I like this alot.
I love the music and the interiors in these old films.
The statement by Cynthia are probably true, but in this movie ,He is not funny ar all! These things might have been funny back then, but not today!Of course many of the theater goer where children and children laugh about anything!
Buster Crabbe, Flash Gordon?
Is the guy in the railway car Vernon Dent of Three Stooges fame?
Mae west was more funny that W.C Fields and I did not laught with at her Jokes! But she was nice to look at! and wrote her own material!
your telling me w.c. is an was a head of his time with great natural timing.
The boyfreind in this film is named Buster Crab. He was the 1932 Olympic Gold medalist (400m freestyle swimming). Thats pretty remarkable

Didn't realize Buster Crabbe was such a good looking young man. Barely remember flash gordon.
The golf scene is marvelous! It keeps you laughing during more than 5 minutes! Fields was a genius.
Getting tied up in the drapery is so funny.
