What god-awful Hollywood trash. Read the book
Proper stories…good characterization.
this isa great flim! I think its one of the cosest to the book
Clark Gable was a rugged guy in real life….. the book was great, and Loved Gable!
They gave a good try at following the book , really enjoyed the movie but seriously folks dont ever expect a movie to follow a book perfectly it would be three weeks long and un watchable .the book was a fantastic book if you have time to sit down and read one .
The scene between 11:01 to 11:48 is deleted when shown 'On Demand' on TWC. I wonder why, because there is no violence perpetrated against the woman in that scene….just curious.
I just love how you can tell how much Clark Gable genuinely loved dogs….a man after my own heart!!
@55:35……LOL…..that turned out to be a true statement in real life for Clark Gable and Loretta Young!
great actors..great flick
I read that this handsome sexy man had really bad breath & most of his leading ladies had a difficult time kissing him! What a shame – just goes to show that we all have our own personal issues…

Jeez, people. Back off. It's Hollywood, and 1930s major studio Hollywood at that. This is how they did it . To watch these films you need to suspend your disbelief and willingly enter into their artificial world. These were meant purely as money-making entertainment not as documentaries nor faithful adaptations of great works of literature. They were the network TV, Amazon, Hulu, and Netflix of their day.
What the hell!?! I think it makes a better story that the two didn't end up together but jeez… What an ache in my heart.
Mmmm. Clark Gable.
