When the title of a film starts out with a chick throwing a switchblade, you know its going to be a good flick. The gorgeous Yvonne Lime is Joyce a teenager that wants to "fit in". But what she discovers is that to "fit in", means stealing and covering up a murder. The leader of the Hellcats is Connie (Jana Lund) who controls the girls for her own selfish motives. She tells Joyce right out, if you don't join the Hellcats you'll find life pretty rough, no friends, no party's, and no boyfriends. Second in command is Dolly (Susanne Sidney) who uses a switchblade to do her nails. Joyce meets and falls in love with Mike (Brett Halsey), who try's to give her good advice throughout the film. But Joyce ends up at a party that will ultimately lead to the death of two girls. The High School Hellcats will keep your interest from beginning to end. The film was well cast and the acting was believable. The moral of this story is, don't cross a psychopath, or in this case a girl named Dolly.
