not to be rude it was funny at the end when the girl did that fake fall not to be rude
a potential kitsch classic
I had never seen or even heard of this Shirley Temple movie! Excited to watch it! Thank you for free posting! 🎬🎥
Dina: Stop it elvie, stop this bullshit, now say you're sorry. Elvie: I'm not sorry, i mean it, i'm glad i hate it! Greg: Fuck that! Tony: If you wreck my night tonight elvie i'm going home without you. You're an ungrateful little butt. Elvie: Don't even think about it. Tony: you are unkind and uncaring. (Elvie starting to cry): You make me so angry. Dina: well of course you're angry, if you can't behave better you can be as angry as anything you won't be happy.
I don't see what the problem was with having Shirley star as a mean brat that audiences back then had. She becomes good in the end and learns her lesson. And actors are supposed to have wide ranges. I thought she was good for the roll =)
The boy who it was implied was the future Abraham Lincoln was played by Gene Reynolds, who just passed away a few days ago on February 3rd, 2020. He was 96.
Thank you …
It's a Wonderful Life meets The Wizard of Oz.
Instead of allowing Mytyl just one Bluebird, the trees destroyed the entire bird habitat by committing suicide.
What's the point of having Light if she won't guide you through the darkest place?
80 yrs old today
15:49 voice reveal from dopey from snow white and the seven dwarfs (1937) thank me later 🙂
It is the 80th anniversary. 6/1/2020.
No minorities in heaven..?
Bad Kitty! Bad Kitty!!
I love this movie but I was disappointed at Shirley Temple for being ungrateful at her parents for the things they have…😠😠💔
I wish this will be on Blu-ray and Disney+ with a brand new 4K restoration from the original camera negative including the original 1935 20th Century Fox logo.
One of my favorite movies growing up…absolutely love it! It has a great message, as well.
“Oh what a stupid girl you are!” 😂🤣
Elvera: tony. Tony: what is it baby? Elvera: Why do you have get so dirty with me all the time? Tony: dirty? why did you call me dirty? Elvera: Well you are, i can't even have a kid with you.
Tylette was probably the inspiration for the villianess the Catwoman in the Batman comics.

Why would anybody think a bird would be content in a cage? Duh.
Best movie ever made
Lovely movie
Nice movie. I never seen it before.
Wow! Thought I had seen ALL of Shirley Temple's movies; obviously I missed this one. So sweet.
Shirley looks so georgeous in this film, specially in the land of luxury. I think it's for the tecnicolor that her face features can be fully appreciated. It´s a shame that older movies doesn´t have this quality.
Wow… Watching this as an adult is absolutely insane. Let's just cry through the whole movie shall we? Explore our own memories and find the damn bird… Smh. My heart…
I saw it around 1978.
The Blue Bird was Shirley Temple's consolation prize for not being in The Wizard of OZ (notice how both movies stared off in black and white before switching over to color). Although the film won an Oscar for best special effects, it was the first Shirley Temple movie that didn't make money. What's interesting is that in the beginning, Shirley's character is a bit of a brat, but she soon reverts back to usual sweet self.

A good classic Christmas movie. It has so many similarities to other Christmas movies. I love it ❤️❤️❤️
Beautiful movie
I just absolutely love this movie! It's One of the best!
20th Century Fox logo reminds me of Star Wars and Alien
I used to think about the pre-mortal scene all the time. It was so precious.
No black, Chinese or African kids born that day – I guess it was a tuesday
Laura Hope Crews ♥️
1:11:01 this scene always makes me sad because this little girl died just a few days later in an accident when her dress caught fire by a Halloween pumpkin. 🙁
Bery prescient!
This is probably my favorite Shirley Temple movie. Thank you so much <3
