  2. It brought me back to the films I watched as a child 60 years ago. I forgot about the virus for awhile, put a smile on my face. I needed that. Hopefully these difficult times we're going through will end as happily. Thank you.

  3. Hey Francis F. AND Gene T. with Tyronne and George S. what Great company they kept . Beautiful classic Hollywood Black and White . Love this !! Thanx

  4. Such a great movie!! So many famous and actors and actresses , such great acting by all of them. George Sanders always played rotten guys very well, he was good

  5. Ya know, that was a pretty good movie. Forgot all about the Corona virus for a while. They all looked fairly healthy on that island…

  6. I am 70 & have not seen this before looks like a great movie from 1942 with George Sanders, Roddy McDowell, Tyrone Power, Gene Tierney, John Carradine, & many more. Can't wait to watch it. now that I have seen it I think that at one time I did see it. & loved watching it again

  7. I watched "Lloyds of London" yesterday with Tyrone Power & George Sanders. Ty plays the role of Jonathan Blake who by stealth manages to keep the British Navy afloat long enough to defeat the French (Horatio Nelson at Trafalgar). Coincidentally in "Son of Fury", @ 1:08:58 in the street scene when Ben returns to London from the Island is a shot from "Lloyds of London". The young Jonathan can be seen on the corner just to the right of center with his stick and small bundle of clothes that he carried on his shoulder. Great movies…but I'm wondering if Jonathan Blake is an ancestor of Benjamin Blake. Cheers!

  8. How ironic that the whipping he received from his raging, sadistic uncle left the marks that likely saved his life on the island! How the plots thicken, thanks for this great upload!

  9. George Sanders wasn't one to do things by 'half-measures'. On 23 April 1972, Sanders checked into a hotel in Castelldefels, a coastal town near Barcelona. He died of a cardiac arrest two days later after swallowing the contents of five bottles of the barbiturate Nembutal.

  10. What an awesome cast. lead by the fabulous Tyrone Power, with the drop dead gorgeous Gene Tierney, Frances Farmer, George Sanders, Roddy McDowall, John Caradine, Harry Davenport, Elsa lanchester. A great movie but, dare I say, I would love to see a colourised version
