This is such a great film
Train travel culture and the newspaper reporting culture both now sadly dead are perfectly preserved in this lovely story.
Mary Beth Hughes is channeling Lana Turner
At 33:12:. Why didn't she simply slip her hand through the trapped sleeve? Might hurt a bit, but easy enough to do.
is that Rochester from the Jack Benny show
Hey, I know that voice! Mantan Moreland is always a pleasure to see. And grossly underutilized as usual. <checks IMDB> And uncredited? Screw you, 20th Century Fox.
Imagine working in a hotel before the put wheels on suitcases – on the up side the tips were probably better – makes you wonder why they didnt come up with the idea earlier
That was fun!
Why do I love Edward Brophy so much? Fun to watch?
Train Mysteries are Fun
This is such a sweet movie and a happy ending! Wish they still made movies like this!
He was real good as the doctor on the show βJuliaβ. What a great show btw!
What a treat, fab film , top quality. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you so much for this surprisingly excellent and extremely fine copy of a film I never saw and I thought I had seen all the murder-and-surprise-mystery-on-a-train ever made with the best of the bunch being "The Lady Vanishes".
No comments re the not-so-bright stereotyped sleeping car attendant. No one else was put off?
