A fine script and superb acting . thank you for posting this.
The actor playing the Baron (Georg) – Joseph Schildkraut – was very accomplished and played a great weasel too. He did the same in The Shop Around the Corner, Christmas movie.
What a great movie! so unlike the garbage movies of today.. Pure class!

Great movie, thoroughly enjoyable β€οΈ
There's no real talent today back then u were either good or u didn't eat the nudity crime profanity explosions etc r to prop up a poor script Eddie Albert said they try to cut writers out of the budget to save money and more profit it's like the difference of Mr Deeds goes to town an the remake Deeds which sux or the trilogy of a man called horse films 1 and 2 were excellent but 3 was so blatent an attempt to make money from 1 and2 it was shameful o r Death wish 1 and 2 4 and 5 great but 3 really sucked
How is it, that in these vintage movies the women ALWAYS wake with perfect make-up on and not a single smudge on the pillow?
What a wonderful world it was!
Powell is always good.
great movie, but I wish they would increase the volume!!!!!
What a wonderful movie !
Older movies are like drinking a glass of fine wine. Many newer movies…
.
.. are like drinking dirty water out of a fancy glass. Where did we go wrong?
Amusing slip up at 1:46 – on the side of the breakfast trolley there is a map of Australia (with kangaroo & emu) but should have been a map of Austria.
I Love, Love, Love this movie! I REALLY love William Powell. I'll be drug over the coals for saying this, but today's actors don't as nd can't compare. I think it's called CLASS, and William Powell definitely had it!
C
What a great movie! I'm have become addicted to William Powell!
Wow! Loved it – incredible class! Thank you!
nice flip phone!!! looks like a motorola
excellent – excellent – excellent…. the clash of two concepts of society…. with an uprising new class… and the love transcends it.- connects it.. .. nice comedy…
Great movie! Thanks for this gem with William Powell. Adorable.
Annabella was Tyrone Powers first wife who was 7 years older than he was. They divorced, Power married and divorced Linda Christain. He asked Annabella to take him back but she declined.
Powell was engaged to Jean Harlow when she died at age 26. He had given her a 98 carat sapphire ring which was jaw dropping.

I really love this movie!!
I hope to live long enough to watch this annually for many years to come.
Very interesting
a truly brilliant script , there is no mention of the writer anywhere , just the playwright , strange .
My favorite thing is the baroness's accent going back and forth from transatlantic to French lmao
Love you black-and-white movies I love the Mysteries we have to use your mind tired of the sex at the movies tired of the file language it's great to see a good murder mystery comedy they don't make movies like they used to
The batler is also a member of the labor party in the house? Ok, the film is probably the first sience fiction film in history!
Totally enjoyable ππΏπ»

Can someone please tell me the name of this song thatβs playing in the beginning I heard it so many times before but I canβt remember the name Iβd greatly much appreciate it
I watch only old movies. Nobody is trying to adjust your thinking.
I started watching classic movies when I was 15 yrs old, am sixty now, l named my daughter after the movie Rebecca , I named her Mandilee after the mansion in the movie played with the mansion the Mandela and got Mandilee much sweeter sound .thank u tmc
she is absolutely horrible – must have been a fad
Great movie!
Annabella was impossible to take your eyes off of… but I'm sure people complained that they did not understand her through the thick accent. But like Arnold S. she got easier to understand… then went back to France for a long movie career.
The sound is bad
