Thank you for sharing. Loved it.
I'm disappointed about the ending. Tyler was engaged(?) to Jessica and forgot about her feelings. Didn't tell her his feelings had changed. ππ Hopefully I'm mistaken and Jessica wasn't thinking they would get married or she didn't intend to??? π€·ββοΈ
This movie was a remake of Love Is News, 1937.

Gene Tierney is probably my favorite actress from the golden years of Hollywood.
But one thing kept bugging me all the way through this film – that is the legal concept of the burden of proof.
Even if the nominated courthouse had burned down the burden of proof still rests on Miss Farley to prove her marriage claim, but all the legal persons in the film incorrectly assumed her claim was true and transferred the burden on Tyler to disprove the claim. I'm sure that real life judges and lawyers would have known better than that

I'd forgotten who was in this film as well as the title and it took me forever to find it again. So worth it, though. An underrated classic
2021 anybody ? Had to come here to cleanse my pallet from the bs they feed us nowadays.
When you know that Power was gay, known as Miss Roundheels, you have a much greater appreciation for his acting greatness! (Miss Roundheels refers to the ease with which he would fall back for his lovers, such as Cesar Romero.)
Super sweet, most enjoyable, thanks for uploading Dana.
Seen some these but as we spent many yrs assoc with the Cent London Theater scene and BBC we know what actors are like. We cannot understand why people adore these individuals whilst all round the viewers people are ignored. We sent out about 1000 mails re Mentral Health anomalies goiung on in Govt Press. Health systems and all were ignored. We refer to many deaths. The people depicted on this site are stereo types and that appeals to public. Theres no way the public are going to wake up even though the virus arrived. How sad is this planet.
I hadn't seen this movie in years. I thoroughly enjoyed it and never laughed so much. So many wonderful actors. My favorite part was the judge that charged them $60 and threw them in jail. It was Chill Wills I believe. A regular crime wave he said. Hilarious! Thanks for posting it!

Mom was quite a shot when she was sober
The scene with Tyrone at the party telling stories about his mother was funny!
"Smoking that old corncob pipe….she chews tobacco just like Dad….government varmits…the prettiest mountain dew that ever invited snakes to a picnic." Thanks for posting.
They were also in the 1946 movie The Razor's Edge
I Love Romantic comedies
Shades of domestic violence in this movie. Back in the day when a man had a legal right to hit his wife.
All he had to do was challenge her publicly to produce a certified marriage license to prove her claim.
Excellent, you can tell when itβs a good movie time just flies by…………….ππ΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώπ€ͺ
