The Gay Deceivers 1969

This movie is posted here because of the extreme relevance to recent events. No copyright infringement is intended, but this flick is hard to find and may be out of print. 1969 was quite different for those of an unconventional sexual persuasion.

Don’t miss Malcolm’s flamenco-flamboyant omelette making starting at 29:50. Sadly, both Michael Greer (Malcolm) and Kevin Coughlin (Danny) are no longer with us, as are many of the other actors. Hey, time passes.

Is the movie stereotyped? Sure, but no more than any product out of Hollywood now or then. Do you think John Wayne really won the West? Watch this as a period piece and be glad things have changed so much in the last half-century.

YouTube seemed to have a problem with the “bitch” scene, and I had to post this without audio. However, years later, I was able to post the scene without censorship, here: https://youtu.be/kOZY7e5XN6s

  1. was actually 100% expecting Elliot to realize he was really bi and falling for Danny by the end of the film.. Then I remembered this was 1969. Good film though, and love Malcom to bits! I thought he was going to be a crass stereotype but his character has depth!!

  2. I'm not Even 20 minutes in and im beginning to suspect those boys aren't even gay, but pretending to be so that they can dodge the draft.
