Alice Wagner is taken to the police station after she is robbed. She looks through a mug book in an attempt to identify the man. Instead of finding him, however, she finds a picture of a man who looks very similar to her son-in-law Leo.

Season 6 The Man With Two Faces Dir By Stuart Rosenberg
When she returns home she asks her daughter Mabel about her husband. Mabel becomes angry and threatens to move out. Later, Alice tells the police about the mug shot and her son-in-law. They say it’s probably just a coincidence. That night, however, the police come to Alice’s house and arrest both Leo and Mabel. They tell Alice that if she had went through the female mug book she would have seen the picture of her daughter.

  1. That daughter makes me so mad, I mean she had a sweet and generous mother and then she became a criminal and hooked up with another criminal and then took advantage of her mother for room and board.

  2. I love it, a whole story in ten minutes, these other directors and producers have taken too much time of our lives with useless "fillers" in movies, have you ever finished a movie and wondered what a section of it had to do with the movie or just knew a lot was unnecessary?

  3. great ending, and wish that justice today could be so swift, seems like Alfred Hitchcock had a way with his tv show mini movies, it was suspenseful and kept you on the edge each week. I know from that era…..watched his show, plus other scary shows at late at night, anyone else watch this on late night tv as a kid….

  4. I like Bethel Leslie, even when playing an unsympathetic character (the daughter). Besides actress, she went on to have success as a TV screenwriter as well.

  5. Was that the case … back in the day ….. a lovely helpful gentle policeman who treats little old ladies with respect …

  6. Spring Byington was one of the finest actresses of her time. I continue to watch episodes and movies she appeared/starred in. No one compares to her compassionate, well suited rolls in film and television.
