"Telephone the airport and cancel our reservations." ??? What year is this, anyway?
I'll go watch it on an AD free channel!! Like Mark Farmer. People who buy ADS for old movies like this are scum of the earth!!!!
I tried to watch other actors playing Sherlock Holmes and Watson but simply could not find it bearable.
Mr. Rathbone and Mr. Bruce are in usual form in this production, but this is not one of the original stories by Sir Author.
WoW alot of people sure watch Holmes..thought I'd give it a try for my bedtime story..hope it's a good one..good night all 😘
1:01:17 Someone else name that tune
39:51 .303 Lee-Enfield Mk 1 (SMLE) the workhorse of British regulars through WWI and WWII
18:28 Some talk of Alexander, and some of Hercules
Of Hector and Lysander, and such great names as these
But of all the world's brave heroes, there's none that can compare
With a tow, row, row, row, row, row, to the British Grenadiers
Loving that perfect movie
@20:07 Hey that is very Quebecois.
Foggy marshes, creepy old houses, a murderous glowing monster, Nigel Bruce and Basil Rathbone. What's not to love?
Dude told everyone he just found out his wife was killed in a horrific way and he's delivering the news like he's talking about the weather… my man how are you not horrified?
great movie, but far tooooo many ads interrupting.
1:04.34. Something has tickled Nigel Bruce.
27:18
I have almost all of these, I watch them a lot, the acting is some of the best as well as the directing and filming.
The best Sherlock Holmes ever I always watch them
Hollywood's Portrail of Dr John Watson .
Is completely degrading and most damnable offence To Sir Arthur Conan Doyle Creation of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson .
Hurray for Canada!
Great movie ❤
Yup
I really love these Rathbone and Bruce movies. Watching them all the time. Thanks so much for posting
I think he was the best Sherlock Holmes
💥 Top 3 Of Sherlock’s Best…Great Movie💥
To many ads
Great movie 5 🌟 ✌ ☮.
Also many famous and very gifted writers wrote the film scripts in those days in Hollywood. They had escaped war in Europe and fled to America to Hollywood – one such Hollywood scriptwriter was Berthold Brecht the famous German playwright.
The Golden years of Hollywood – the early film.makers were nearly all Jewish
Real actors.
Real acting.
A dead art today.
This and The House of Fear are my top 2 S.H. films. 💜
Its so easy to be critical. But the film in its age was brilliant. Loved watching it.
Love it!
Canada…now a dictatorship run by a prime minister with an identity crisis. He thinks he's God.
So you are here
This film is not a story by Arthur Conan Doyle. This is a story set in Canada which is an adaptation of The Hound of the Baskerville's. The Scarlet Claw is lot of nonsense made by Universal pictures!
Released May 26th,1944
realy its very interesting to watch a movie where the murderer was known and the way for estingushied him all through
DOCTOR WATSON IS A IDIOT.
Love the patriótic flavour of it alll, but i liked watson Moore as watson, than as Sherlock Holmes, wich he later played!
I've not seen Jeremy Brett as Sherlock. Have to watch him.
1:13:15 Churchill God bless him.
I'm aware of Mr. Rathbone's various roles and enjoyed them tremendously. His role of Sherlock Holmes was as if he became Sherlock Holmes. It's a rare experience.
Very good nlbut scary very tough to understand tough 5 hours
Sherlock Holmes said for Dr. Watson to make himself inconspicuous, NOT obvious !!
Read in another actor's autobiography, that Basil Rathbone had a good sense of humour.
Check out some of his interviews on utube.
It was OK. Nov 2022
Watson puts his fingerprints on the body of the dead girl 1:02:18🤣
