  1. Does anyone know who played o’brien’s hitman? I’ve seen him in tons of movies but can’t find him in the credits.

  2. Ladies and gentlemen. The moral of this story is that gambling is dirty and evil. Except where sanctioned by State or Federal government such that they get their piece of the pie. Good night.

  3. A very good film but who else was cheering on Mal? Great performance by Edmond O’Brien who often played co-lead but he made some classics as the lead including DOA and Nineteen Eighty Four where he came to London.

  4. I like these old b/w movies and have seen Edmond O'Brian in a lot of them but this is the first time I've seen him play a hoodlum. Thanks for the upload.

  5. This is a revelation for me. I only knew Edmond O'Brien movies when he was more of a gruff, tired older guy like in "The Wild Bunch", "The Last Voyage", or the episode of Mission:Impossible where he played a drug counterfeiter.

  6. Goin on 47 on the 20th and over the last couple years I've been watching 50s and 60s tv shows and movies. It makes me feel like it was when I was young. Reminiscing the olden days. I know 70s aren't really the oldies but I grew up watching 50 and 60s tv shows.

  7. I've never seen a bad Edmond O'Brien movie..when I see his name I know that the film will well acted with a strong storyline.
This one is no exception. Good sharp b/w cinematography, strong story, and gorgeous Joann Dru too! A big thank you for posting!!

  9. I knew Edmond was in trouble when he gave up a beauty like Dorothy Patrick and started barking at a dog like Joanne Dru. Edmond never made a bigger mistake in his life! Love all his films. Thanks for the upload! 🙂
