TON MINISTRE DE LA TRISTESSE AUX TROIS ECHECS CONSECUTIFS -VOUS DEUX ETES DES NULARDS A L'INFINI
I have a long list of McCrea movies I enjoy over and over. Gunsight Ridge and Trooper Hook are good ones too.
He was a real cowboy ❤
Love this movie. They don’t make them like this anymore
Great movie!! Thanks!!
That Alan Hale, Sr. Looks a lot like his son. Thought it was the skipper of the S.S. Minnow for a while there.
So that's how they paid for guns, with British gold.
Growing up I noticed some movies tended to either be neutral or sympathize with the plight of the southerners, treating them as victims or refugees of a war which BTW they started by secceding so they could continue their practice of slavery. "All them damn yankees' fault." I found this perplexing as I understood enough about history from elementary school to know why the war was fought, who lost, and who the traitor rebels were. I realize now it's playing to the "Lost Cause" propagating the southern myth.
Few films ever brought out the folly of the Civil War like this one, so please reserve your criticism.
I found Alexis Smith more winsome in this role than any I can remember. The whole film is very entertaining.
I loved these old movie Jole McCrea was a good actor
Good Movie ❤❤❤

"It'll be a long day tomorrow." "It's a long day today."
I love this movie, love all the old westerns, my family watched a lot of them together, this sure brings back many memories….HIGH 5….????????????????????????????❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️????????????????
Ah, Dorothy Malone, a singular beauty.
The character "Luke Cottrell" is described as the leader of a band of guerrilla raiders working for the Union army that ravaged the Missouri countryside during the Civil War, robbing and murdering Southern sympathizers. The character is obviously based on the real-life William Quantrill, who was in fact the leader of a band of Confederate guerrillas that terrorized the Missouri and Kansas countryside during the Civil War. His raiders were responsible for the sacking and burning of Lawrence, KS, on Aug. 21, 1863, during which more than 150 men and boys in the town were rounded up and executed. It became known as The Lawrence Massacre. Eventually Quantrill's methods were so brutal–wholesale executions of prisoners, burning and looting towns and villages, etc.–that the Confederacy disowned him and withdrew all support. He was shot in an ambush by Union troops on May 10, 1865, and died in a Union military prison on June 6.
????????????não é dublado em português ????????????
=5+.
Good 'ol Joel McCray . He goes way back
he should have let Lee rot in hell. Deb too.
Cantrell was Southern er, not a Union member
The bar girl isn’t someone you’d want to take home to meet Mama.
Really love the old westerns bring back fond memories as a kid, we didn't notice all the made up of history like Quantrill's Raiders being pro-Union when in fact they were pro-Confederate although they did kind of cover themselves by calling him Luke when it was actually William. One really cool thing is seeing some of the major stars in supporting and bit roles before they became famous.Forgot to mention they were in Kansas not Texas.
I'll turn 80, and I thought there might not be as many people who believed Joel McCrea to be an outstanding actor in westerns. I was wrong. This film is a fine example of the heyday of western film production. We're fortunate to have these platforms for seeing the older films. One of the few benefits of technical advancements in world much different than the America I grew up in.
N Castellano hablado ????????????????
❤????
It's funny how this ordinary western has some great sets, and everything is real compared to most of movies these days. Something like this would probably cost 500 million $ to make in modern day Hollywood.
Alexis smith is so beautiful in this movie I could watch her films every day of the week!!!
