Directed by Delmer Daves in 1947 and starring Edward G. Robinson, Lon McCallister, and Judith Anderson, “The Red House” unfolds a chilling tale of secrecy.   1. My Edward G was out on his own, I disliked him when I was a child, he always played the role of the bad guy, but I can see now how absolutely brilliant he was.

  4. I have always like this movie……….the acting is superb, the musical score is very good………overall a fabulous movie. Allene Roberts was exquisite in this role. The overall cast was outstanding. Great job restoring this film.

  5. I am not familiar with these old films and am rather narrow-minded with type genre that I enjoy, but gave this a try. I was glued! Thank you so much for giving us this movie. I will look for others in this era or type of film. I loved the story and the acting!

  10. My Mom gave me this movie for Christmas one year. I had never heard of it, since it was made 13 years before I was born. It sat on the shelf for a couple of weeks, until I had time to watch it. But once I finally got around to viewing, it quickly became a favorite. Thanks for posting a colorized version. It sure beats anything coming out nowadays.
