33. It looks like they paid a lot of attention to displaying vibrant, rich colour. That kind of makes sense to me, since most movies of the time were in black-and-white.

36. Glad that I have read the book. German sub, British destroyer. The movie is a very good adaptation, however …

37. Quite good for a 1950s war movie. And yes, Das Boot is unbeatable. However, somewhere they claim that The Enemy Below was new trend setter in naval war films.

    The help of the US Navy can be seen in the frame. However, the German WW2 u-boat was not as spacious and "luxurious" as in the movie, if you compare it to Das Boot.
