  1. Does nobody else notice how this movie portrays and foretells the twin towers being destroyed? Clearly telling us they knew what was going to happen because 1- it was planned since way back then, 2- time travel exists, or 3-both 1&2.

  2. This movie was the one that launched me on the path to write "Voison's Boomerang" a futuristic novel about The Asteroid Apophis.
Because it can still cause chaos when it shoots in one side of our layer of geosynchronous satellites, 18,000 miles up, and then only minutes later, passes through them a second time, all it needs to do is hit one of those satellites to cause a really bad day
Then a disaster of almost Biblical repercussions will happen as a chain reaction of collisions tares up our layers of Satellites and space stations reminiscent of the movie 'Gravity' .
It would set back our Spaces programs perhaps a decade, assuming that we would recover.
So Apophis doesn't have to impact our planet to cause real chaos, it merely has to hit one Satellite up there that we are not paying enough attention to.
However, if Apophis does hit the Earth on land, it will blow a crater about 4 miles wide, rim-to- rim, and about a mile deep, in under two seconds.
It could trigger another "little ice age", or more likely, "several years without summers."

  3. Special effects are amazing. Who would have believed they would have advanced so far between when this was made in 1979 and all the way to when Star Wars was made decades later in 1977.

  4. This is what you called character actors, unlike today, there all bunch of pre maddonas. Its about me mememe crap popularity, money grubbing idiots. Today they cant act worth shit

  5. I haven't seen this movie since I was a kid, back in 1979, when I was 10. Huge Connery fan, down of cannery after bond he made lots of shitty movies, I guess he didn't want to be type cast.

  6. The only thing I cannot understand about all these old movies is why people always have to "have a drink", meaning aa whisky or bourbon or something silly like that. Nobody in his right mind drinks in the office like that. WHY DOES EVERYBODY HAVE A DRINK IN THE OLD MOVIES?
