this is the best movie, the ways they changed it from the book were very clever and made it more compelling
I’ve been hooked on the storytelling in the films on Retroflix
Since there are so many Film Noir movies to pick from, it would be so helpful and appreciated if a brief synopsis was available as well.
In case you haven't noticed the similarities, THIS is Biden's America in 2023. Only approved speech and actions are allowed on Facebook, Google, Yahoo, the FBI, the DOJ……… Luckily Twitter was bought by Elon, but they did everything they could to try and stop it.
If you love this film, please check out "The Mortal Storm." Jimmy Stewart, Margaret Sullavan, Robert Young, Frank Morgan, and Robert Stack. And best, the Grand Lady, Maria Ouspenskaya.

Nice to see K. T. Stevens in something besides ‘’Harriet Craig’’.
Another anti-German propaganda movie. The Jews must have made thousands of them.

What a relevant movie. Scary that cancel culture shares some of the same hateful censorship, especially when it comes to Biblical principles.

Definitely an eerie, fear-entwined emotional drama centered in the 1930s emergence of the 3rd Reich, prior to WWII. Thanks Mr. Spinks. 👌
Very believable acting performances throughout, with Paul Lucas earning an A+. The Real early tragedy though is that Heinrich (Peter van Eyck) was unable to taste Griselle’s sweet borscht (K T Stevens) before she was killed by “the brow shirts”..… Nyuk Nyuk Nyuk!! 🤪
Another gooood Noir-isk film starring Peter van Eyck is the surprising murder mystery well worth a view, too, the curious script, “The Snorkel” = https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QdOHBNF_M8Y 🤐

Speaking about Paul Lucas, I wish YouTube would play the 1943 film ,"Watch on the Rhine" with Bette Davis, Lucile Watson, Beulah Bondi , Geraldine Fitzgerald , George Coulouris and others. Another good Lucas film was, "The Lady Vanishes" with Dame May Whitty, Michael Redgrave, Margaret Lockwood and others. My all-time favorite Lucas film was the 1939, " Confessions of a Nazi Spy" with Edward G. Robinson, Francis Lederer, George Sanders and others. Another film YouTube won't play.
This hatred has come to the USA. The liberals want to stop free speech, stop the talk of God in our classrooms and in public. They control our media. biden is ruining our country and the media is silent. They attacked trump every chance they had. This is wrong and we few decent americans need to stand against this tyranny.
Wow tough choice. Let Giselle in and maybe get your whole family killed or turn her away and get her killed. Either way Giselle gets killed but do you risk your family anyway?

Good to have You back on the YT scene. As I'm watching this, I'm thinking this is a great flick, but it's not film noir. That is, up until the last few scenes, which definitely were noir! Unlike so many WW2 propaganda films, this had a strong story, well-drawn conflicted characters believably played, and one heckuva twist at the end. Thank you!
