So THIS is when they had their affair and Loretta Young's daughter was conceived. Yo can see the magic between them on the screen. It's all history now. She did right. Today, this means nothing.
Retroflix has been my best friend for classic movie marathons
The villain puts me in mind of Theodore Roosevelt!
If I may; after months of mining. Jack went back & see Claire then heard the bad news that mr. John didn't make it. So they reconcile & continued being lovers again.
I terribly wanted to curse that director who made that movie, but I must say, I prayed god a lot for that in the end Chico wasn't dead in truth, and when she found him there,I wanted to thank that director a million times !
Oh goodness how much I cried ! I cried and I cried and I cried ! I couldn't bear her to live without him, I couldn't bear for them to be separated so brutally ,my heart was shattered for them, but I am more than glad and greatful that it wasn't a sad ending and that it ended well in the end ! ❤ May their love live forever and ever !
0:22 R.I.P Clark

0:10 20th Century Fox
Superficially addicted to her bad boy flame, in the end Claire goes off to live a righteous life with her husband. Jack and Shorty continue to take and steal culminating in abandoning human dignity, as represented in the finale were the Squaw is referred to an "it". … Jack London did not end his short novel in this way. Gene Fowler, the screenwriter, thought it was a cute way to end while pandering to the prejudicial humor of many in America at the time. … The rest we all know. Gable never reached the age of 60. He had five wives. Hollywood considered him the king. Today, half the nation worships as similar narcissism represented in the gold toilet of a former president.
Loretta Young really good on being sassy!
Great picture
I'll never understood how people seem to be able to just switch their emotions. We don't know how long her and her husband had loved but two days of him gone and she's open for her rescuer and quickly develops intense "love" for him assuming hubby could or would never return.
😞😞😞
Based on how many movies she'd done before this, its too bad she followed the human condition to pair up for which her choice and attempt and intent (love, marriage, babies, more wealth and fame) was less than honorably met by simply the wrong fellow human.😢😢
Jack Oakie and Buck the Wonder Dog stole the movie from the two supposed stars, Gable and Young. Enjoyed the movie, not the ending.
London's book brought tears to my eyes as a boy.
LOL..Buck is more man , then 99% of todays males 😅😂😂
Poor old Clark had to marry into the speckle family because he couldn't support himself. So sad. Saddest pos in Hollywood. His speckles wife was quickly sorry
He's worst than any actual whore. This pig of a coward lastly married for money. He will fry in hell
Clark gable was a disgusting pig of a man. He divorcee his 1st od 5 wives. He's the most disgusting whore of Hollywood
This is when Clark fucked the innocent 20 yo lorreta young. Obviously Clark a married man could care less about a young girl. She later gave birth. Clark was an asshole from day one. He married an older women to get him into films.
Lorreta and Gable two of the best , In the earĺy days of the flim industry Pictures were stucture ,Directed , and compose of a story . Not wish wash.
88 años despues y se ve estupenda!!!!
I had an English teacher who would let us watch the film ( yes film) and we also had to read the book . He had to write essays contrasting both. When the principal found out he forbid the teacher from doing that . I wish I could remember his name as that was the only time most of us enjoyed English class.
