I love 😍 Shirley Temple
It is wonderful to see such a high resolution video of this film. Shirley Temple was an incredible talent. It has been 60 years since I have seen it, and so many scenes in the movie played as if I knew them by heart. I loved it as a child and have never forgotten it. Thank you for posting this!
What can I say? Beautiful.
Nicely done.
$22.50 in 1936 would be worth about $382.85 in 2015 value. So that was a pretty expensive dress; the fifty dollars he borrows today would represent $850.77 om 2-15 value. So that was pretty large amount of money in 1936. Interesting to see Jane Darwell (as Eliza Porter) who would later appear in Disney's "Mary Poppins" as the Bird Lady–"Feed the Birds…" It also seemed like the song they sing at the end–is something akin to "The Lambeth Walk."
This is my favorite movie of all time
RIP Jerry Tucker
I'm so happy you uploaded the black and white version of this film. All of Shirley's films are so much better when viewed in black and white. The color makes the quality worse.
