maggie brewster's mother looks as young as maggie..
"Granny" was digging the vodka this time….4 more years and she graduates to moonshine.
I am a guy I believe when it comes to marriage, (1)a girl who can give you good advice (2) willing to learn the things you believe in and your goals (3) financial stability for both (4) attractive to the guy (5) yes theory to say yes to anything you say to her not the kind of command yes no the kind of let's commicate more, etc

D-E-cent sized cupcakes or plain cookies on the shelf, which one makes man a happy self?
"How do you know so much about me?" "I was just describing myself, Maggie, except i don't baby sit." Sharp as a scalpel.
Love this movie! Quite realistic.
Her family members make me think I died and went to heaven. And that's really happened at 17 w/ pneumonia.

I hardly recognized Betty Hutton. She looks different and the voice different, I guess she is much older in this movie. I found her more beautiful than all other movies she was in in her 20th.
cool
Cute little movie. Ms Hutton seemed a little over acting but maybe itβs just me. Love that Dana Andrews.π
Granny
OH! How I love the classical love movies. no cursing, if you tell someone
how you feel, it is done to good taste. I love looking at the clothes the lady's wore, I love when you see a man he looks like a man. I love
the love songs that make you want to stay in love forever.I love the old cars, that we call classic cars today. I guest you figured, I am a child from the 50s. Nothing was perfect, but God has promised if we are willing and
and obedient will eat the fruit of the land. My life has happy and sad moments, but GOD' GRACE HAS OUT WEIGHED THE BAD AND SAD TIMES. GODS GRACE KEEP ME TAKING ONE DAY AT A TIME…AND TRUSTING IN HIS AMAZING PROMISES. TO THOSE WHO ACCEPT HIS SON AS
OUR LORD AND SAVIOR. ACTS 2:38 REPENT AND BE BAPTIZED. JOHN 3:1-7, ROMANS 10;9-10. MATTHEW 28:17-18-19-20….. JOHN 3:16 FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONLY
BEGOTTEN SON, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVE IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE………..
Dana Andrews was nearly 50 when he played the part of a 33 year old. Betty Hutton was 37.
It's funny that every generation makes fun of each other.

If I lenth this movie a little bit then a divorce is on It's way.
Her mother was a gem!! She was in a tough spot got right in the middle!!
It's comforting to see a world in black and white.
Opening shots with titles: Newport Harbor, Newport Blvd and in the background , as the car turns on to the highway, Pacific Coast Hwy. (aka PCH). All in Newport Beach, CA.
very true to the times.
The most interesting movie I've ever seen!
I can tell you what I was doing on 1956. Being born. Nov. 1, 1956. But I love these old movie.
That high school yearbook looks like most of the students were held back a few decades.
I just had an epiphany. The way I acted in the service was predicated on what I had learned since I was 4. This includes the old movies I watched. The military was teaching me how to behave 15 years before I signed the paper. So was everyone around me. So were you, so was I. There is a redundancy in that that I find quite comforting.
I remember injecting heroin to this movie. Good times
Ken Curtis,, Festus was young once !
1:07:55 That kiss and the music is just perfectπππ
A very good movie. Betty Hutton was great π. Thanks π for posting.
Festus is blowing up balloons! And Granny Clampett is on liquor duty! But why didn't they say it was the 20th reunion? They're all so old! Overall though I'm very impressed with the story. Not predictable at all.
Is there any song that Johnny Mercer hasn't written?
Great movie thank you
Cute movie, but very much a fantasy story. This would not be this way in real life with all the family force in such a situation. A daddy's girl is ALWAYS a daddy's girl and hubby will NEVER measure up. And wifey/mother will always take a back seat. Just as bad as a moma's boy syndrome – which is grossly evident in today's modern society. However, in the screen writing in the 50s, all movies in the 1950s ended this way where the boy and the girl run off together to finish out the movie – all of them with the exception of true mysteries and such. Thank you for posting.
"Granny" looking pretty. Dana Andrews is great! I'm learning to like Betty Hutton more and more. I recently watched Red, Hot and Blue with Victor Mature and loved it! Your channel is fun. Thank you
Iguliut, the fashions were more elegant then, but only if you had a maid to do all that hand washing and ironing
