I was honored to conduct a 2-3 hour interview with Donald in Dallas. He was so gracious and kind to give me so much time. I've been a huge fan since the 40's, the "Francis" movies to "Singing in the rain" where his dancing with Gene Kelly was superb, "No business like show business", his solo performance in the "Man chases a girl" number showed just what a great dancer he was. LoveTheO"Connor ? You bet I do.
@ 1 10 57 "I think you're horrid." The entire movie is a horrid fantasy — especially the barking little monster.
Oh Don, your so cute and talented. I hope to see more of his movies, including this one.
Thank you for the upload! It's sun to see Susannah Foster and her some more of her amazing singing! And then Donald O'Connor and Peggy Ryan really are as terrific as ever.
Ah, what a wonderful film! I'd like to note, too, that the acting is very realistic. Donald's acting later in the 50's becomes more theatrical, which must be a genre thing. This and Donald's many other works serve as a proof to his solid acting skills. Just imagine: a fantastic dancer, a fantastic singer and a fantastic actor as a bonus! Donald was really a mega-talented man. He should be remembered as such.
O'Connor was one of the most talented men in the movies.Good early film of his. Thanks for upload.
wonderful yep i love the Donald.β‘:D
Thanks so much for uploading all these films! Such a shame so many got blocked though :'(
Thank you so much for for uploading these O'Conner films! They're always the right movie anytime! Do you have any with Francis the Talking Mule ?
Thank you for uploading this.. I have been a fan of donald since last week only.. Everytime I watch his films I feel that he's still young and alive!
Is it just me, or the leading girl was quite a silly thing. She didn't deserve Donald. Anyway thanks for the upload!
You're so welcome! These movies always lift my spirit, too…Donald and Peggy are spectacular! Thanks so much for commenting :))
Thank you so much! These movies just lift my spirit whenever I watch them. And of course, I just live for the Peggy and Donald moments. They're without a doubt always my favorite parts. The two of them are just to die for. Amazing dancing, snappy dialogue, brilliant comedic timing π LOVE!
I feel the same way! And you're so right, he IS too handsome! A real dream boat, and a sweet, humble man on top of it–the complete package! π
One of my favorite scenes! π
The cherry thing was hilarious. lol
You're so right, Donald DOES deserve a lot more recognition–he did SO much more than "Make 'Em Laugh." Peggy, too–she could do it all, too. I'm glad you enjoyed it! Thanks so much for commenting!
Thanks for another upload! The best parts were with Donald and Peggy (of course)! Peggy is like the Marilyn Miller of the 1940s, there's not a thing that she can't do, but both are very underrated today. Even Donald deserves more recognition aside from just Singin' in the Rain.
@wasittoyou They were quite a dynamic pair! Thank you! π
This THE life….THIS is Donald and Louis Da Pron…..thankyou thankyou thankyou !!!!!
