E o poveste simplă în Vechiul Testament. Ruth este una din cele două femei moabite care se căsătoreste cu unul din fii lui Elimelech şi Naomi. Când Elimelech şi fii Mahlon şi Chillion mor, lăsând in urma trei femei vaduve Naomi soacra o văduvă săracă, cu două nurori neevreice, ea a decis să se întoarcă în Israel. O noră, Orpah, i-si ia de la ea la revedere decizand sa ramana cu neamul ei iar cealalta noră Ruth spune ca nu se va desparti de ea si merge cu ea. Se hotaraste să renunţe la viaţa şi de cultura din Moab ca sa fie cu Naomi . etc……

Both Ruth, and Esther are the only two books in the Bible named after woman, there was Tamar a prostitute from Jericho, who married Salmon, who was the father of Boaz, Boaz married Ruth, and became the father of Obed, Obed was the father of Jesse, who was the father of King David, Ruth was the great grandmother of King David and in the lineage of Jesus, Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, and Bathsheba who was the mother of King Solomon was in the lineage of Christ, and Mary his mother was the only woman born Jewish, but was included in the lineage of Jesus by Matthew.

  14. The older actress who plays Naomi has an incredibly expressive face. She really brings her wise and warm character to life, with a touch of shrewd humor. I wish I had such a female mentor to learn from when I was Ruth's age. Alas, my dear mother died much too young.

    Nor does the Bible expound on how Mahlon and Ruth met. It just says that, Mahlon, his brother and parents from Bethlehem in Judah went to sojourned in the land of Moab and while they were there, Mahlon and his brother took for themselves Moabite women for their wives.
    Naomi, Ruth's mother-in-law loved both of her daughter-in-law's. There was no animosity between them.
    After ten years, Naomi lost her husband and both her son's but again the Bible does not say anything about their deaths but somewhere during the ten year period they all three perished and Naomi decided to go back home to Bethlehem in Judah. The other daughter-in-law decided to remain in Moab but Ruth chose to go with Naomi so, Naomi and Ruth left and had safe travels back to Judah, no soldiers came looking for them no dead sheep, shepherd boy, or poisoned water lol. No one treated Ruth unjustly or accused her of being an adulterous or anything of the sort especially Boaz, that part is so bogus there was no court hearing. Boaz found favor in his sight for Ruth, he protected her and kept her safe in the fields where she gleaned. God did not curse her or curse their land. It was God's plan for Boaz and Ruth to marry. and have a son named Obed who became the grandfather of King David. and from this blood line eventually brings us to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. All that malarkey about Boaz's brother not releasing his claim is a lie, he released it freely and happily and it was just between them two, no one else was involved. This really is a beautiful story. The book of Ruth, only 4 chapters, read it and don't let hollywood lie to you by so grossly distorting the truth. Another example of God's love and how He works in our lives.
    God is in control. He may not give us everything we want but He certainly gives us what we need. God bless you all. =)
