Prefer their black & white period, come the 60s the Patsy was wearing thin & then he became his own straight man & bitter & quite unfunny really.
I remember seeing this as a child with lots of other children and we thought Jerry Lewis was hilarious! Unfortunately, while watching this my innocent childish sense of humour has deserted me. However, in another movie , this time they’re in the navy. There’s a section where Jerry plays a punchy boxer and Dean plays his trainer trying to gee Jerry up and make him act tough. For those few moments watching that scene , I was instantly transported back to those days of childhood. I laughed out loud so heartedly that I had to watch it several times. Each time I watched it I busted my sides. They’re both brilliant in the scene!
