gabby hayes plays the bad guy
Duke was lucky in '31 and '32, to have a few parts in movies with studios having a bit more money to spend on camera, film, and sound quality, than these Lone Star productions. Most of them were gawd-awful in early '33 and most of '34. Luckily things were moving along nicely technologically. For me, these were the best years of his career; young, hard-working, having a great deal of fun, and not having the pressures of superstardom or tons of money to influence his daily life. He was just one of the guys back in these days……..
