  11. This Brit-American, an "Anglophile" adored this very entertaining delightful movie! I was seven years old when this was made in 1955 and as a former retired NYC fashion illustrator and student of the history of costume and costume design enjoyed all those fashions, some very classic looks still to this day! I don't mind black and white films, but thought this would be great if it had been made in color! Had fun imagining what color all the different outfits were! Have always loved the late great Kathleen Harrison especially in "The Christmas Carol' 1951 with the late great Alistair Sims who was the best Scrooge ever , imho! Also, recognized the late great actor , David Tomlinson, who played the father in the original "Mary Poppins" 1964! Thank you~ Cheers! ♥♥🍺
