The Randolph Scott westerns are always a real treat. A nice pub quiz strange fact regarding the music score is that it was reused 5 years later for the movie Buchhanan Rides Again in 59. Excluding the Mag 7 series, i cant remember 2 cinema released westerns having the same score !
Leo Gordon plays another rotten character. He's been whupped by the best.
I may be stating the obvious, but: I don't think Campbell stood much of a chance in his final showdown with Stewart. Maybe Stewart was giving him an out, to die at Stewart's hand going for broke rather than by hanging. Also, I was expecting more of a plot turn regarding the first man that Campbell shot in the saloon, as the stage carrying his funds arrived and word of that got out.

Richard Boone often played a bad guy but he might be best remembered as the star of the TV western series 'Paladin.'

Cinematic masterpiece award presentation! No not the movie itself but to finally do a western movie scene where the HATS FINALLY BOUNCE OFF THE GOOD GUYS AND BAD GUYS HEADS!! Thats in the scene when our good guy SCOTT jumps tru the bannister/staircase on top of the bad guy LEO and holy of holys: BOTH HATS EXIT THE WHOLE FIGHT SEQUENCE- FANTASTIC!!!! Unlike all that DYNAMITE BLOWING UP at the bad guys and the HATS STAY ON TOP OF THIER HEADS- –oh well better directing next western movie**
1/30/22 so hardly a comment–WAKE UP COMMENTERS and THANK the UPLOADER (today they are called UPLOADERS) but with what I grew up with:REEL TO REEL TAPE (yes tape) RECORDERS/CASSETTE RECORDERS/ WE would call the uploader a RECORDER! and get 12 HOURS OF RECORDING time:6 on one side of tape/6 on the other side of tape AFTER THE FLIP OVER OF THE REEL as soon as the first side was about to RUN OUT for only $1.59 cents*****and thats on the BIG REEL TO REEL RECORDING 'SCOTCH' BRAND TAPES Remember we can only record the SOUND/SPEAKING/MUSIC/SOUNDTRACKS of the TV SHOW or MOVIE being shown as today the SOUNDTRACK is still called AUDIO (at least that has,nt changed)*
Saw the actor credits:SKIP HOMEIR/LEO GORDON/LEE VAN CLEEF/ DENNIS WEAVER and set decorator WILL TUTTLE (TIME MACHINE) so here I am* SKIP is,nt the bad guy here-VERY RARE*
