Mary and two of her friends are challenged by some men to a drag race. The car is forced off a bridge. All three women seemed to be drowned until Mary suprisingly emerges from the river with no memory of her survival. Mary accepts a new job as a church organist. But strange things start to happen and she becomes invisable.

COLOUR
I love the music it's always an organ being played
This movie scared the living daylights out of me as a kid! I usually love a good scare, but there is something about this movie that still gives me the creeps even today!
Dream-like, surreal, benefitting from its disjointed production values. A film that operates on more than one level. It's not meant to be a scary movie. It's more a psychological study, a disquieting nightmare.
Mary Henry is repulsed by both life and death, but has no choice in where she's at in a twilight world, or where she's going. Religion and medical science fail her. Father and mother figures fail her. Men fail her. No wonder she can't relate, no wonder she doesn't belong. Interesting concept, well told.
MY REGARDS
Weirdly intriguing, it made a very frightening impression on me as a kid, but watching it now, it seems more sad than frightening. That's because life is more sad than frightening!
I am assuming the movie is actually based on the concept where she is actually is dreaming that she escape the crash but all along she was still in the car? At least that's what i am guessing.
this is a cult classic – so of course it must have some qualities that set to apart from the crowd. glad i found it – I've been wanting to see it for a decade at least.
"Why Look, It's Carla Casio! "We'd better get you back to the Factory!" …. Put your Soul into it, a little .. . . .
