Used to be shown on TV a lor when I was young. Love thsee old movies.
Surprisingly accurate (with some licence of course) for this kind of movie.
Almost all films about Capone, Dillenger, Nelson etc are complete fabrications but this is worth watching. He relied on intelligence but could be ruthless when necessary.
Jack ' Legs ' Diamond was murdered in a rooming house at 67 Dove Street, Albany, N.Y. in the early morning hours of December 18, 1931. He was one of the most dangerous gangsters of that era. He was risky to do business with and could not be trusted. He lived fast and died young. R.I.P., Legs.
great film
When i aspired to be a rapper lol i used his name because his story was eerily similar to mines.R.I.P legs muchblove to your soul and i hope you made peace with the lord my man!
Great movie once again r.i.p. legs!
Takes its times getting going. One could skip the first 25 minutes of "Rise."
* The Rise and Fall of Legs Diamond (1960) * All-star cast, Ray Danton, Karen Steele, Elaine Stewart, Simon Oakland, Jesse White, Warren Oates, Joseph Ruskin, Sid Melton, & Dyan Cannon (Cary Grant's 4th wife), etc.
Definitely a classic movie! I'm surprised I hadn't seen this one before. It's a tight cohesive production with good actors and a compelling story.
Thanks for watching everyone and thanks for your comments.
Danton's best performance. Excellent movie, thanks for providing it.
I LOVE ALL THE BLACK & WHITE CLASSICS!
this is my favorite movie but it`s a pity that the 103 minute version is not available.
