First time I've watched the non-MST3K version.
If you like this flick, you might want to check out another teen cult classic, "The Violent Years".
To be honest with myself and who ever reads what I'm writing at the end of this movie I cried because my mom left my dad when I was 4 then I lived with my grand mom.
I was allowed to be on the streets in Philly Pa.

Hmmm, this movie must have been played on TV back in '44 on Sunday evening so parents might see it. Wonder if it helped any selfish cruel neglectful parents to change? Nah!
Ok, blame the parents, in some instances it might make sense, But this man, their son, was not stupid–just naive. So they make a story out of his inability to grow up and he continues to lie about his upbringing. I found the film corny as heck and the acting –well, the less said the better. Not a B movie, a D movie.

That boy was so innocent he came off as a complete idiot and since he isn't a secondary character in a sitcom this makes him unbearable. His folks were just as if not more painful to watch if I wanted to see two adults who despise one another fighting constantly I'd simply call on my parents. Not to mention all of his classmates who are all about middle aged. I knew in advance this will be awful but that's just whince inducing still cheers for sharing that monstrosity
